“The conversations that I got to have with other believers to see where the Lord is changing them and drawing himself to them was incredible! I saw so much growth in friends around me and just such a willingness to follow the Lord to look more like him.”

“I am so thankful for this community and this opportunity to grow closer to friends and to make new friends as well. I got to have some intimate conversations with a few people that I never really thought about having those conversations with and it was so rewarding!”

SUPPORT RAISING
Conference can feel expensive, however there are many people who would love to help you experience salt conference!
Below are some ideas and tips you can use for support raising!
TIP 1: Conference for Christmas
Many of your relatives are going to ask you what you want for Christmas, why not use that as an opportunity to ask for one of them to fund your trip to Conference?
TIP 2: tackle it asap
Talk to your parents, friends, youth pastor and family friends as soon as you can! Often influential people in your life will be willing to help you get to such an important event!
afraid of missing class? send an excuse letter to your professor for exemption!
Q&A
Should I bring spending money?
Yes! Bring spending money for meals and merch! Lunch will be provided on Saturday.
What time will we be back Monday?
We should be back around10am Monday morning. If you have a morning class we recommend getting it excused by reaching out to your professor.
what should I pack?
Des Moines is COLD in January! Bring cold weather clothes. You can always ask other church members to borrow jackets and clothes.
How does rooming work?
We try and honor at least one rooming request per student. You will be in a hotel room with 2 or 3 other students! Its a great way to get to know more people!
